Carmela Randazzo, 87, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 8, 2010, in her residence.
She was born November 19, 1923, in Cefalu, Sicily, a daughter of Francesco DiFatta and Rosaria Fertitta DiFatta.
Mrs. Randazzo came to the United States on January 11, 1959, and went to work as a seamstress in a mens tailor shop.
She enjoyed talking on the phone with friends, spending time with family, and sewing.
In 1948, she married Adamo Randazzo, who died December 16, 1986.
Surviving are two sons, Stefano "Steve" Randazzo and Francesco "Frank" (Jayne) Randazzo, both of Baltimore, Maryland; a daughter, Rosa "Rose" (Albert) Zalner of Washington; a sister, Rose LiPira of Baltimore, Maryland; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Friends will be received from 3 to 4 p.m., the time of a memorial service, Saturday, December 18th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
