Lucille M. Clark Johns

Lucille M. Clark Johns, 86, of Washington, died Monday, July 26, 2010, in Canonsburg General Hospital, following a three-month illness. She was born May 26, 1924, in Marlinton, West Virginia, a daughter of John Quincy Adams Clark and Myrtle Leona Baxter Clark. Mrs. Johns was a 1942 graduate of Trinity High School. She worked as a lab technician at Hazel-Atlas #1, which later became Ball Glass, retiring after 32 years of service. Mrs. Johns was a member of Lone Pine Christian Church. On December 31, 1951, she married Lester Albert Johns, who died October 8, 2000. Surviving are a daughter, Joyce Eustis of Lone Pine; two grandchildren, James A. Eustis and Amy L. (Joseph) Gatewood; and two great-grandchildren, Coree and Arin Gatewood. Deceased are four brothers, Homer, Claude, Howard and Harry Clark; and four sisters, Pearl Weiford, Artie Marie Morrison, Lilly Lovelace, and Nellie Clark, who died as a child. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 31, 2010, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
