Donald Joseph Dallatore, Sr., of Washington, died unexpectedly, Saturday, October 23, 2010.
He was born on July 18, 1929, in Mt. Carmel, Pennsylvania, a son of August and Margaret Arnold Dallatore. He was a graduate of Mt. Carmel High School.
Mr. Dallatore was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. He was retired, having worked as a crane operator at United States Steel’s Homestead plant. He was a member of the Arms Club and Moose Lodge # 22.
A longtime hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed spending time at his mountain camp. He was a fan of all Pittsburgh Sports teams and enjoyed spending time with his family as well as dancing.
On July 1, 1950, he married Lorraine Gluchowski, who survives. Also surviving are his sons, Donald ( Wendi ), Ray ( Donna ), and Jeff ( Tammy ) Dallatore; daughters, Diane Loar ( Alan ), and Kathy ( Mike ) New; Brothers, Leonard ( Pat ) and Edwin Dallatore; sister, Annacleta ( Joe ) Shumock; grandchildren, Dan, Ben, Ryan, Chelsea and Teresa Dallatore; Ricky, Vanessa, Mallory and Amber Loar; great-grandchild Ella Mowl and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends of Donald Joseph Dallatore, Sr., of Washington, who died unexpectedly, Saturday, October 23, 2010, will be received on Wednesday, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 28, 2010, in Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, Washington. Burial will be private and held at a later date.
