Russell M. Oliver Sr., 74, of Washington, died Saturday, October 30, 2010, in Southmont of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington.
He was born May 8, 1936, in Springhill Township, Greene County, a son of John and Margaret Hartley Jesse.
Mr. Oliver served in the U.S. Army.
He was a truck driver for BP Oil Co. for many years, a member of the National Rifle Association and an avid hunter.
Surviving are four sons, Jeff (Cherise) Oliver of Ohio, Jim (Cheryl) Oliver of Washington, John (Tonia) Oliver of McKees Rocks and Russell Oliver Jr. of Washington; a brother, Clarence Oliver of Uniontown; a sister, Gladys (Louie) Kaposy of Avella; and four grandchildren, Alex, Nick, Anakin and Christian.
Friends will be received from noon to 2 p.m., the hour of service, Tuesday, November 2, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, with the Rev. Meade Lacock officiating. Entombment will be in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
