James L. Jeffers

James L. Jeffers, Jr., 66, of New Orleans, Louisiana, formerly of Washington, died May 11, 2009. He was born July 31, 1942, a son of the late James Jeffers and Martha Jeffers Glendenning. He was raised by his grandparents, the late James and Mary Jeffers. Mr. Jeffers attended Washington High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Marks’ United Methodist Church. Surviving are his sister, Linda (John) Maze of Washington; a niece, Johnna (Ray) Reese; an aunt, Jean Hughes; an uncle, Earl Jeffers; and several cousins. Deceased is a niece, Allison K. Maze. A memorial service will be held in New Orleans. Inurnment will be in Washington Cemetery.
