Hazel Wanita Westfall, 90, of Washington, formerly of Claysville, died Saturday, June 6, 2009, in Kade Nursing Home after a lengthy illness.
She was born on Taylorstown on December 23, 1918, a daughter of Mack and Ella Jane Jones Carson.
Mrs. Westfall was a long time member of the North Buffalo Presbyterian Church and a graduate of Taylorstown High School. She enjoyed crocheting and especially loved going fishing with her sisters.
On March 26, 1949, she married George Westfall who died in March of 1999.
Surviving are two sisters, Helen Hathaway of Claysville and Mary Myrtle Sprowls of Washington, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are sisters, Pearl Stollar and Blanche Minnies.
Friends of Hazel Wanita Westfall, 90, of Washington, formerly of Claysville, who died Saturday, June 6, 2009, will be received on Monday, from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA, where services will be held on Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at 11:00 AM, Pastor Gary Gibson officiating. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
