Florence J. Rosen

Member of Wolfdale Bible Chapel Florence J. Rosen, 70, of Presbyterian SeniorCare, Washington, died Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in Washington Hospital. She was born January 12, 1939, in Washington, a daughter of James and Icy Burges Rosen. Ms. Rosen graduated from Trinity High School. She was a homemaker who enjoyed playing games, reading and talking to friends. Ms. Rosen was a member of Wolfdale Bible Chapel. Surviving are a brother, James L. Rosen of Lincoln Hill; four sisters, Goldie Holmes of Washington, Betty White of Edinboro, Alice DePaoli of Washington and May Plants of Youngstown, Ohio; nephews, Joseph Brown, Edward McMasters, James Rosen Jr., Robby McMasters, William Miles, John Plants, Charles Plants, Jr., Kenneth Lee and Richard Plants; and nieces, Kathleen Miles, Deborah Miles, Barbara Plants, Cindy Plants and Sandra Brown. Deceased are her husband, Clark Ray Butcher, who died January 2, 1988, and a brother, John Edward McMasters. Friends will be received from 12:30 to 1 p.m., the time of services, Friday, November 6, in Forest Lawn Gardens Chapel, with the Rev. Fred Helmick officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
