Myrna Glynn Hugi, 67, of Washington, formerly of Vienna, Va., died at 2:12 p.m. Wednesday, October 6, 2004, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a one-month illness. She was born January 13, 1937, in Albert Lea, Minn., a daughter of Delmer C. and Ruby G. McDonald Hugi. Miss Hugi was a former member of First Christian Church of Washington. She was a 1954 graduate of Washington High School and a graduate of Bethany College. Miss Hugi was employed by the federal government for 30 years as an auditor. She was a member of Sweet Adelines in Vienna, Vienna Falls Chapter, with whom she won an international championship. She and her three sisters enjoyed spending their pastime singing together. Surviving are two sisters, Janice H. Henry of Parma, Ohio, and Patricia H. Beecham of Washington; 11 nieces and nephews, 24 great-nieces and nephews, and 10 great-great-nieces and nephews. A sister, Marjorie J. Gettman, is deceased.
Friends are invited to a memorial service to be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 9, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, with Pastor Gary Gibson officiating.
