Grace Herron Mcpeak

Grace H. McPeak, 86, of Washington, died Monday, April 14, 2003, at the Donnell House following a brief illness. She was born December 5, 1916, in South Strabane Township, a daughter of Wray and Blanche Donson Herron. Mrs. McPeak was a 1935 graduate of Trinity High School. She was a member of Gretna Grange, Buffalo Grange and Pomona National Grange. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and gardening. Mrs. McPeak was also a member of the Hickory United Presbyterian Church. On December 25, 1935, she married Alan M. McPeak, who survives. Also surviving are a son, David A. McPeak of Washington, a granddaughter, Pamela Carlini, and one great grandchild. Deceased are a brother, Edward Herron and a sister, Edith Hamilton. Friends of Grace H. McPeak, who died on April 14, 2003 will be received on Tuesday from 7 to 9 Pm and Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2003 at 11:00 AM with The Rev. Douglas Reinard officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
