Samuel Swan

Samuel Robert “Sonny” Swan, 66, of Washington, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, in his residence, following a brief illness. He was born September 15, 1941, in Washington, a son of Lawrence and Angeline Molinaro Swan. For 20 years, Mr. Swan worked in steel fabrication at National Annealing Box. Most recently, he worked with his sons in their contracting business. Mr. Swan was a member of the Slovak Club and enjoyed helping others, especially needy strangers. He was Catholic. Surviving are two sons, Ron (Lisa) Swan of Houston and Sam (Carla) Swan, Jr. of Washington; a daughter, Paula (Ron) Berry of Washington; a brother, Joe Swan of Washington; two sisters, Virginia Collis and Rebecca Hildebrand, both of Washington; six grandchildren, Bradley, Brandon, Samantha, Charlie, Matthew and Sean; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. There will be no public visitation or services. Memorial contributions may be made to Donnell House, Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington PA 15301. William G.
