Ruth Marie Thomas

Ruth Marie Thomas, 88, of Washington, died at 1:15 a.m. Friday, October 8, 2004, in Manor Care Nursing Home, Camp Hill. She was born October 16, 1915, in Washington, a daughter of William and Myrtle Swan Scott. Mrs. Thomas attended Washington High School and was a member of First Baptist Church in Washington. She was a homemaker, enjoyed bingo and was a member of Junior Order. On December 16, 1933, she married Victor Charles Thomas, who died November 6, 1972. Surviving are two daughters, Lila Johnson of Washington and Carol Moses of Leander, Texas; four grandchildren, Clayton II and William Moses, Jay Richard Johnson and Judy Ward; five great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter. Deceased are a sister, Elsie Haines; and a brother, Guy Scott. At the request of the deceased, visitation and graveside services on Monday, October 11, were private, with interment in Washington Cemetery.
