Ruby Jean Leone

Ruby Jean Leone, 68, of Washington, died at 7:25 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2005, in Washington Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She was born July 9, 1936, in West Finley Township, a daughter of William Herbert and Ruth Frieda Kennedy Patterson. Mrs. Leone graduated from Trinity High School in 1954. For 35 years, she worked as a unit secretary at Washington Hospital. While employed there, she was an active member of Local 1199-P, SEIU. On April 19, 1997, Mrs. Leone was inducted into the Labor Hall of Fame of Washington-Greene Central Labor Council. She was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church and enjoyed reading, crocheting and traveling. On July 22, 1967, she married Tony Leone, who survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Sheree Lynn (Kevin) Flynn of Washington. Private services were held, with burial in Washington Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
