Marine veteran worked at McGraw-Edison
Gary Evans Gwynn, 54, of Washington, died at 8:30 a.m. Thursday, January 16, 2003, in Aspinwall Veterans Hospital.
He was born January 15, 1949, in Waynesburg, a son of John Albert Gwynn of St. Marie, Iowa, and Lola Jane Laschinsky Gwynn Harrison of Houston.
Mr. Gwynn was a graduate of Carmichaels High School and a former employee of McGraw-Edison.
He was a member of Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge 687, Keystone Club,
Mr. Gwynn served in the U.S. Marine Corps and received the National Defense Service Medal.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Gary Anthony Gwynn of Lansing, Mich.; two sisters, Bonnie Lee Johnson of Lakewood, N.J., and Marlene Kay McFeely of Eighty Four; and several stepgrandchildren.
GWYNN - Friends of Gary Evans Gwynn of Washington, who died Thursday, January 16, 2003, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, January 20, with the Rev. David Vogel sharing with the Rev. Steven Parkhill. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted at graveside by Edwin Scott Linton American Legion Post 175.
