Frederick Voelker, Jr.

Frederick (Rick) Day Voelker Jr., 59, of Washington, died at 2:28 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2005, in his home, after a 14-month illness. He was born February 23, 1946, in Pittsburgh, a son of the late Frederick D. Sr. and Rosalind Gammon Voelker. Mr. Voelker was a graduate of the first class of Fox Chapel High School. He then went on to graduate from Allegheny College, Meadville. He was a computer technician for Oracle Software for 11 years. He was a member of Lone Pine Golf Club and enjoyed playing tennis. He also was a veteran of the U.S. Army. On June 14, 1980, he married Kathleen Marie Clemens Voelker, who survives. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Scott Matthew Voelker and a daughter, Stacy Marie Voelker, both of Washington; and a brother, David William Voelker of Uniontown. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 9 to 11 a.m., the time of services, Wednesday, June 1, in William G. Neal Funeral Home Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
