Helen Virginia Jordan

Helen Virginia Jordan Member of Grace Brethren Church, Washington Helen Virginia Jordan, 89, formerly of Beech Street, Washington, died at 4:10 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2002, in Cade Nursing Home, Washington. She had been seriously ill for a month and a half. She was born November 13, 1912, in Franklin Township, Greene County, a daughter of Oscar C. and Bertha Elizabeth McCann Murray. Mrs. Jordan was a member of Grace Brethren Church, Washington, and had been employed at Montgomery Ward for 21 years as a department manager. On November 10, 1930, she married Robert Lloyd Jordan Sr., who died February 6, 1984. Surviving are a son, Robert Lloyd Jordan Jr. of Troutdale, Ore.; a daughter, June Dicks of Washington; three sisters, Lenna Hall of Washington, Mabel Jordan of Washington and Hilma Riggle of Elyria, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren. JORDAN - Friends of Helen Virginia Jordan, formerly of Beech Street, Washington, who died Saturday, April 6, 2002, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, with the Rev. Jeffrey A. Patton and the Rev. Shimer Darr officiating. Interment will be in Washington Cemetery. The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to Grace Brethren Church, Waynesburg Road, Washington.
