Shirley Ann Robertson

Shirley Ann Robertson, 70, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, April 29, 2008, in Canonsburg Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born July 23, 1937, in Washington a son of Newton Sargent of Washington and the late Wilma Elliot Sargent. Mrs. Robertson was employed for seven years at the Bassettown Market and Deli. She was a member of First Christian Church and enjoyed quilting, reading, and cats. On September 5, 1964, she married Robert Linn Robertson, Sr. who died July 24, 1998. Surviving, in addition to her father, are two sons, Robert L. Robertson, Jr. of Washington and George N. (Tina) Robertson of Clarksville; a daughter, Rebecca L. (Kevin) DeRose of South Park; a brother, John Sargent of Washington; two grandchildren, Haley and Elisa DeRose; and her step-mother, Mary Sargent of Washington. Friends will be received 7 to 9p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 3rd. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
