Bruce W. Ward, 59 of Washington, died Sunday, May 4, 2003 in Washington Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Washington on June 3, 1943 a son of the late Thomas E. Ward and Dorothy M. Knotts Ward of Prosperity. Mr. Ward was a steelworker for more than 21 years having worked at Forbes Steel in Canonsburg. He was a member of the N.R.A., the Moose and U.S.W.A. Surviving are a son, Robert Walbrown of Cecil; two daughters, Janice Walbrown of Washington and Sandra ; two brothers, Thomas Ward of Prosperity and Richard Ward of New Kensington; a sister, Trudy Anderson of Avella ; and two grandchildren, Madison and Abagail Walbrown. Mr. Ward is preceded in death by a sister, Carol Witkowski. Friends of Bruce W. Ward , of Washington, who died on died Sunday, May 4, 2003 ,will be received on Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, PA 15301 where services will be held on Tuesday, May 6, 2003 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Ted Cukryznsky officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
