Anthony Edward Marra, 62, of Houston, died unexpectedly at 7:06 a.m. Tuesday, December 7, 2004, in the Washington Hospital emergency room. He was born June 30, 1942, in Washington, a son of Anthony Marra of Houston and the late Anne Irene Murphy Marra. Mr. Marra had been employed for more than 29 years as a laborer at Cooper Industries, Canonsburg. He was most recently employed in the warehouse at Joy Manufacturing, Houston. He attended Houston Presbyterian Church and was a member of Alpine Club, Moose and Houston American Legion Post 902. He was a 1961 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany. Surviving, in addition to his father, are three daughters, Lisa Anne Bright and Michelle Jo Armstrong, both of Washington, and Tiffany Lynn Porter of Canonsburg; his twin sister, Judith Anne Zubert of Wilmington, Del.; three grandchildren, Austin Armstrong, Isabella Armstrong and Hannah Elizabeth Porter; and his long-time companion, Grayce Ann Martin of Washington.
Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 10, with Pastor Ralph Volpe officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
