James K. Bigley, Sr., 85, of Claysville, died Wednesday, November 25, 2009, in Kade Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born April 26, 1924, in Butler, a son of Edward Elton and Margaret Bigley.
He was a World War II Veteran of the U.S. Navy.
Mr. Bigley owned and operated Bigley Electric for 20 years and also was a miner for various coal companies.
He was a member of the American Legion in Houston, the VFW in Canonsburg and F & AM in Canonsburg.
On June 19, 1948, he married Maxine F. Brown, who died November 7, 2009.
Surviving are two daughters, Pamela R. Schneider of Claysville and Deborah S. Buck of Huntsville, Alabama; two sisters, Erla Simmer of Butler and Shirley Young of South Carolina; five grandchildren, Beth, Nathan, Angel Blue and Nolan Schneider and Jennie Buck; and three great-grandchildren, Cassandra and Michael Martin and Khadijah Schneider.
Deceased is a son, James Bigley, Jr.
There will be no public visitation or services.
