Sarah Jeanette Gordon

Member of First Presbyterian Church, Washington. Sarah Jeannette Gordon, 90, of Washington, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, in Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. She was born January 29, 1915, in East Springfield, Ohio, a daughter of Walter Preston and Frances Henderson Berry. Mrs. Gordon was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Washington. On August 13, 1932, she married Frank Gordon, who died November 26, 1976. Surviving are a son, Edward L. Gordon Sr. of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; four grandchildren, Edward L. Gordon Jr., Timothy Robert Gordon, Sarah Lee Walser and Sean Frank Gordon; 16 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. Deceased are two grandchildren, Alice and Lou Anne Gordon. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, with Pastor Walter Stevenson officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
