Hannah J. Betty Cohenour

Hannah J. (Betty) Cohenour, 78, of Hickory, died unexpectedly at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 24, 2005, in her residence. She was born May 5, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of Russell and Margaret Medlen Brooks. Mrs. Cohenour was owner/operator of Cohenour Personal Care Home, Hickory. On October 4, 1980, she married Granville Andrew Cohenour, who died January 14, 2005. Surviving are a brother, Charles (Melvin) Brooks of Washington; and a sister, Emily Harris of Washington. Deceased are a sister, Nora Jean Brooks; and a brother, Wilmer Brooks. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, with the Rev. Susan Kidder-Petritis officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
