Tanela Nicole Durbin, 18, Burgettstown, PA, died Monday, June 1, 2009, in Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Tanela is survived by her parents, Mark H. & Karen S. Durbin and families, Our Chosen Family & an abundance of friends around the world. Tanela was a great advocate for Organ Donation & spoke @ many events. When she sang with her beloved Chorus & Youth Choir, she showed her heart & soul, always supporting the art. She was an avid movie fan especially enjoying medical related shows. Tanela was a 2009 graduate of Burgettstown High School. Tanela enjoyed motorcycling with her parents, HOG Chapter & many others riding for causes. Children’s Hospital’s Heart Camp, Burgettstown High School’s Musicals, The Noonan Syndrome Support Group were all foremost in sharing her life. Friends of Tanela Nicole Durbin, 18, Burgettstown, PA, who died Monday, June 1, 2009, will be received on both Thursday and Friday, from 2:00 to 8:00 PM, in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. An additional period of visitation will be held on Saturday, from 9:00 – 9:30 AM in the funeral home and from 11:11 AM to 12:00-noon, the time of services, in the Paris Presbyterian Church, officiating will be Rev. Christina Hosler. The funeral procession to the Paris Presbyterian Church will depart the funeral home at 10:00 AM, motorcycles will begin to gather after 8:30 AM at the funeral home to be included. Burial will follow in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. Donations may be made to The Tanela Durbin Memorial Fund, 68 Van Drive, Burgettstown, PA 15021. Funds will be shared with support groups & charities that were a part of Tanela’s Life.
