Virginia Mary Cassidy

Virginia Mary Cassidy, 83, of Washington, died Friday, February 15, 2008, in the Washington County Health Center following a lengthy illness. She was born in Hopedale, Ohio, on June 13, 1923, a daughter of Loretta and Julia Zabon Daquanno. A graduate of Penn Commercial Business School, Mrs. Cassidy worked several years as a receptionist at the Y.W.C.A. in Washington. She had also worked in sales at J.C.Penney’s. On May 10, 1950, she married John J. Cassidy, who died on March 19, 1991. Surviving are a son, Tim Cassidy of Washington; a daughter Robn Cassidy of Los Angeles, California; a brother Ralph Daguanno of Hickory; and a sister Dorothy Hill of Hickory. Friends of Virginia Mary Cassidy, 83, of Washington, who died Friday, February 15, 2008, will be received on Tuesday, from 12-noon to 1:00 PM, when services will be held in the William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
