Ruth Frances Kirby King, 78, of Washington, died Wednesday, July 29, 2009, in Donnell House, following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 4, 1931, in Purseglove, West Virginia, a daughter of George and Carrie Ruble Lancaster.
Mrs. King was a homemaker and member of Living Waters Church of God.
Her first husband, Robert W. Phillips, died in 1971, and her second husband, Jeremiah King, died in 1984.
Surviving are five sons, Mark Kirby, Jr., of Washington, Ralph Kirby of Monaca, Thomas (Brigette) Kirby of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Larry Kirby of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, and Thomas D. (Samantha) King of Bentleyville; five daughters, Nora (Ken) Hilderbrand of Arden, Jean Cheek of Washington, Ruth Ann Cox of Mineral Ridge, Ohio, Rebecca (J.P.) Kirby of Boardman, Ohio, and Leanora �Sally� Slider of Frisco, Texas; one sister, Mary Keys of Carmichaels; 27 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.
Deceased are two children, William and Lucy Kirby; six brothers, Howard, George, Harold, William, Samuel and Franklin Lancaster; and a sister, Betty Harris.
Friends will be received Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, August 3rd. Burial will follow in West Union Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Donnell House, Hospice Care of the Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Avenue, Washington, PA 15301.
