Naomi Ruth "Ootie" Donahue, 76, of Washington, died Tuesday, October 14, 2008, in Kade Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Washington.
She was born October 29, 1931, in Washington, a daughter of Edward Raymond and Juanita Muriel Dunn Johnson.
Mrs. Donahue was graduated from Trinity High School.
A homemaker, she had worked for 11 years in Woolworth's.
She was a First Christian Church member and loved to read and feed wildlife.
On December 17, 1959, she married William Raymond Donahue, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Michael R. (Rose) Donahue of Prosperity and Jonathan P. (Kimberley) Donahue of Washington; a brother, Donald Raymond Johnson of Washington; three grandchildren, Jessica (Ryan) Deems, Jacob Donahue and Jonathan Donahue; two great-grandchildren; an aunt; and three nieces.
Deceased are a brother, William Johnson; and a sister, Norma Jean Wood.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 17, with Pastor Larry Deemer officiating. Burial will follow in National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Cecil Township.
