Randall Jay Higgins, Sr.

Randall Jay Higgins, Sr., 66, of Washington, died Tuesday, June 16, 2009, in the Washington Hospital, following a brief illness. He was born December 4, 1942, in Washington, a son of Mildred Shrum Higgins of Washington and the late Donald Higgins. Mr. Higgins was retired from Joy Manufacturing, where he had worked for 30 years. He enjoyed shooting, steam engine shows and events, and woodworking, especially building furniture. Mr. Higgins was a member of North Buffalo Presbyterian Church. On August 20, 1960, he married Sandra Richardson, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Randall J. (Marie) Higgins, Jr. of Washington; a sister, Terri (David) Donel of Washington; one granddaughter, Ashley Higgins; and a great-granddaughter, Livia Bedillion. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 17th, at the chapel in Washington Cemetery, 498 Park Avenue, Washington, with Rev. Craig Bellis officiating.
