Helen McGann Trevitt Zwick, 89, of North Franklin Township, Washington, beloved mother of Jeni Trevitt, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2010, in Southmont Presbyterian Care, after several months of declining health. She was born September 30, 1920, in Connellsville, a daughter of Michael and Marie Zacharias McGann. Mrs. Zwick graduated from Connellsville in 1938 where she met her future husband, Arthur Trevitt, whom she married in 1946. Dr. Trevitt died in 1957. In 1963 she married William Zwick, who died in 1995. Mrs. Zwick was a devout Catholic and a long-time member of Immaculate Conception Parish in Washington. She was an avid reader, enjoyed dining out, doing crosswords, spending time with family and friends, and was a member of the Elks Lodge in Washington. Mrs. Zwick is survived by her only child, Jeni Trevitt, with whom she made her home; a brother, Arthur McGann, of Connellsville; a special niece, Judy Richards, of Pittsburgh; a special friend, Martha Barbarossa, of Washington, and many nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are six brothers and four sisters, Francis, Leo, William, Paul, Walter, Harry, Margaret, Marie, Virginia, and Doris. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m., Friday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington. A mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 11, 2010, in Immaculate Conception Church, 119 W. Chestnut Street, Washington. Those attending the mass are to meet at the church. Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
