Betty Ruth King

Washington homemaker. Betty Ruth King, 72, of Washington, died at 4:50 a.m. Thursday, February 10, 2005, in Washington Hospital, following an illness of seven years. She was born June 7, 1932, in Washington, a daughter of Frank and Eurmine Huggins Pickens. Mrs. King was a homemaker. On October 15, 1960, she married John Edward King, who died July 20, 1983. Surviving are a son, James Conselmagno of Washington; two daughters, Mary Alice Evans of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Barbara Ann Chivers of Washington; two sisters, Margaret Elizabeth Pickens of Washington and Mary Ann Bennington of Chicago, Ill.; and two grandsons, Thomas Edward King and Terry Junior Davis. Deceased is a granddaughter, Melissa Lynn King. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, February 12, with the Rev. Joseph Bennington officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery.
