Ralph Edward Szydlowski

Ralph Edward Szydlowski, 84, of Washington, died Thursday, October 23, 2008, in The Washington Hospital. He was born September 5, 1924, in Joffre, a son of Stanley Edward and Anne Durco Szydlowski. Mr. Szydlowski was employed in the maintenance department of Penn Central and Conrail for a total of 43 years. He was a member of Brotherhood of Maintenance of Way Employees Division, BMWED – IBT. Mr. Szydlowski was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. On November 30, 1950, he married Virginia E. Lauderback, who died June 3, 2005. Surviving are a son, David; a daughter, Patricia; one brother, John Szydlowski of Lake Wales, Florida; and a sister, Elizabeth Spathoras of Carnegie. Deceased are siblings, Edmund, Victor, Joyce and Anne Kreszewski. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 28th. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
