Betty Lou Gusic Bentz

Betty Lou Gusic Bentz, 83, of Prosperity, died Sunday, October 26, 2008, in her residence. She was born December 19, 1924, in Weston, West Virginia, a daughter of Herbert and Pearl Olive Black Hersman. Mrs. Bentz was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, baking, shopping and country music. She also enjoyed baby sitting for kids in Prosperity. She was Presbyterian. Surviving are her husband, Robert J. Bentz; a son, Robert J. (Candice) Bentz, Jr. of Prosperity; two daughters, Sheila K. Miller of Melrose Park, Illinois, and Debbie Gusic (Charles) of Claysville; six grandchildren, Janeen, Danyell, Joshua, Cody, Bobby, and Chase; and two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Julia. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 29th, with Pastor Linda Mankey officiating. Burial will follow in Prosperity Cemetery.
