Rose Ann Mlecsko, 77, of Washington, died Wednesday, November 5, 2008, in Donnell House, following a lengthy illness.
She was born April 29, 1931, in Moon Run, a daughter of William and Agnes Osbourne Darnley.
Mrs. Mlecsko was a homemaker who enjoyed playing cards, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was Protestant.
Her husband of 59 years, Steve Mlecsko, survives. They were married November 13, 1948.
Also surviving are three sons, Matthew “Mike” (Michelle) Mlecsko of Michigan, Stephan “Steve” Mlecsko of Washington, and Joseph “Joe” (Eleanor) Mlecsko of Eighty-Four; two daughters, Linda Latham of Washington and Rose Mary (James) Prosser of Washington; a brother, Hugh Darnley of Linesville; two sisters, Jane Mascaro of Canonsburg and Elizabeth “Libby” (George) Godish of Florida; twelve grandchildren, Shane, Allison, Cassandra, Jennifer, Valarie, Joelle, Christy, Samantha, Laura, Dustin, Julia and James “Jim-Boy”; three step grandsons, Bryan, Scott and Tim; and fourteen great-grandchildren, Paetyn, Evan, Morgan, Brendan, Gage, Dina, MacKenzie, Alexa, Madison, Jacki, Alex, Gavin, Shannon, and Morgan Shea.
Deceased are a son, Steve, who died in infancy; and five brothers, Charles, James, William, John and Donald.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, November 8th, with Rev. Karen Stevenson officiating.
