Paul A. Allen

Paul A. Allen, 44, of Washington, passed away peacefully, Friday, July 24, 2009, at the Donnell House, with his family at his side. He was born November 29, 1964, in Washington, a son of the late Patricia Brooks and David Boyd Allen. He worked at the Washington Hospital for 20 years, until his illness forced him to resign. Paul enjoyed golfing with his family and friends. He loved coaching his kids in baseball and softball and was proud of his children and everything they accomplished. Paul was an amazing, loving and devoted husband and father who always put his family first. He will be sadly missed by family and friends. On August 31, 1990, he married his soul mate and best friend, Kelley Dellorso, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ethan Allen, and a daughter, Ashlea Allen, both at home; two sisters, Donna Allen and Rhonda Morris, both of Washington; two brothers, David Allen of Washington and Mark Allen of Graysville; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased is a sister, Nancy Christopher. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 29th, with Dr. Rus Howard officiating.
