James E. "Lou" Lemley, 49, of Washington, died unexpectedly, Saturday, July 25, 2009, in the Washington Hospital.
He was born November 10, 1959, in Washington, a son of Elmer E. and Janet Behanna Lemley.
Mr. Lemley attended Trinity High School. He was a custodian for the Trinity Area School District for 6 years.
He enjoyed riding his Harley with friends, hunting, and working outdoors, especially tree trimming.
Mr. Lemley was Protestant.
On December 6, 1996, he married Victoria A. Beckner, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Jimmy Lemley of York; two daughters, Jessica Lemley of Washington and Becky Lemley of York; a brother, J.R. (Shirley) Lemley of Carmichaels; three sisters, Helen Eckels, Nancy (Richard) Jablonski and Eleanor (John) Allen, all of Washington; a grandchild, Maddison Marie; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Ruth Louise Lemley.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 29th, with Rev. Dan Lutz officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Mt. Morris.
