Ronald C. Lutes, 61, of Claysville, died unexpectedly Saturday, December 6, 2008, in his residence.
He was born January 27, 1947, in Washington a son of the late Donald C. and Mary Louise Crable Lutes.
Mr. Lutes graduated from Washington High School. He served in the Air Force from May 23, 1966, until his honorable discharge as a sergeant on March 23, 1970. For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal. Mr. Lutes then served in the Navy from September 9, 1974 until his honorable discharge on January 8, 1976.
In 1977 he received a civil draftsman diploma from the State of Tennessee. He had been employed by Pennsylvania Transformer Company and was the former manager of Interstate Mobile Village in Claysville.
Mr. Lutes was a member of L.O.O.M and VFW. He enjoyed long rides in the country, all electronics, and Steelers football.
Surviving are his fiancée, Susan McCullough of Claysville, and her daughter, Amy S. McCullough; her son, Steven McCullough and his wife Amy, and their daughter, Addison.
Deceased is a brother, Jerry Lutes.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, December 10th. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
