Eleanor A. "Sis" (Garber) Riggs, 66, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 3, 2008, in Donnell House, following a lengthy illness.
She was born November 3, 1942, in Washington, a daughter of William and Edith Taylor Riggs.
Ms. Riggs was a homemaker who enjoyed solving crossword puzzles and reading murder mysteries. She was a member of the Jessop Club and the Eagles, and was an avid bingo player.
She was Protestant.
Surviving are two sons, Raymond "Jake" Garber, Jr. and Michael (Junell) Garber; a daughter, Cindy Riggs, all of Washington; five step children; six grandchildren, Logan Riggs, Brittney Garber, Amber Garber, Cheyanne Garber, Raeanne Garber and Landin Garber; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are her long-time companion, Raymond D. Garber, Sr., who died November 1, 2002; a grandson, Blake; a brother, Robert Riggs; and a sister, Edith Mae Gray.
Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 8th. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
