Carolyn Ann Majors, 75, of Eighty-Four, died Sunday, August 23, 2009, in Humbert Lane Personal Care Home, South Strabane Township. She had been ill since March 2009.
She was born June 9, 1934, in Bentleyville, a daughter of Elmer and Helen Sphar Majors.
Mrs. Majors was a retail manager at Newman Children’s Clothing, and at one time worked at Miller’s Clothing and Kenny Kardon Children’s Clothing stores, both in South Hills Village.
She was a member of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in Eighty-Four.
Surviving are a sister, Marilyn Russell, of Highland Park; five nieces, Donna (Paul) Henry, Leslie Russell, Laura (Greg) Russell, Megan (Michael) Russell, and Brenda (Chris) Wilcox; and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue. Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of the donor’s choice.
