Bonnie Sue Thomas, 62, of Washington, died Wednesday, August 26, 2009, at her residence, after a lengthy illness.
She was born November 20, 1946, in Washington, a daughter of Robert F. and Lucretia Bird McMasters.
Bonnie had worked as a nurse's aide at several local personal care facilities, including, Kade Nursing Home, and more recently at Christopher's Personal Care Home.
Mrs. Thomas had attended the Washington Schools. She enjoyed playing bingo.
On February 15, 1969, she married Kenneth Leverne Thomas, Jr., who survives.
Also surviving are 4 sons, Kevin L. Thomas and Edward D. Thomas, both of Washington; William L. Thomas, of Eighty-Four and Christopher F. Thomas, of Washington; 2 daughters, Brenda Sue Roberts, of Waynesburg and Lucretia L. Ealy, of Carmichaels; 8 brothers, 3 sisters, 20 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
Friends will be received Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m., and Friday, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. There will be a procession leaving the funeral home at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, for a 3:00 p.m. graveside service at Washington Cemetery.
