Ralph Wingrove, 79, of Washington, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008, in his residence.
He was born February 13, 1929, in Perry Township, Fayette County, a son of David H. and Dicie Wilkes Wingrove.
Mr. Wingrove was a mould maker at Findley Refractories for 42 years. He enjoyed country and western music.
Mr. Wingrove was a member of numerous social organizations, including Moose Lodge, Jessup Club, the Sons of Italy and the Pulaski Club.
He was Protestant.
Surviving are a son, Ralph L. Wingrove of Indiana, Pennsylvania; a daughter, Cindy Lou Strohecker of Washington; two brothers, Leonard of Canonsburg and Thurman of Perryopolis; one sister, Gladys Fisher of Dawson; eight grandchildren, Dennis Martin II, Amy Wingrove Stone, Leslie Wingrove Yount, Natalie Wingrove Scott, Kristen Martin, Andrea Strohecker, Ryan Wingrove, and Stephanie Strohecker; and ten great-grandchildren.
Deceased are a great-grandchild; four brothers, Floyd, Thomas, Clarence and Ernest; and two sisters, Clara Schoaf and Edith Stedman.
Friends will be received on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m., in William G. Neal Funeral homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, December 15th with Rev. Ron Ringer officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery.
