Dorothy Louise Baumgartner

Dorothy Louise Baumgartner, 82, of Washington, died Friday, January 23, 2009, in Consulate Health Care, North Strabane Township. She was born November 22, 1926, in Washington, a daughter of Elmont and Helen Wood Clark. Mrs. Baumgartner was a homemaker and member of Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed flowers, crossword puzzles, crocheting, playing cards and building and making furniture. Her children considered her not only their loving mother, but also their best friend. On October 22, 1950, she married Raymond Phillip Baumgartner, who died June 16, 1991. Surviving are three daughters, Tammy (Frank) Lockoski of Houston, Denise (Don) White of Washington, and Tonia (Stacy) Miller of Washington; four brothers, Bill Clark of Missouri, Don Clark of Washington, Dick Clark of Ohio and Dudley Clark of the state of California; three sisters, Peg Shriver of Prosperity, Maxine McCombs of Washington and Linda Kahlbaugh of Prosperity; four grandchildren, Tiaka Lockoski Pearce, Amanda White Mankey, Terra Lockoski Ewig and Brandon Miller; and two great-grandchildren, Haley Nimpfer and James Lee Ewig, Jr. Deceased are a brother, Robert Clark; a sister, Betty Cox. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 26th. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Southwestern PA Regional Office, 100 West Station Square Drive, Suite 500, Pittsburgh PA 15319-1122.
