Meadow Lands resident enjoyed fishing.
Albert Leroy Sochor, 76, of Meadow Lands, died Monday, January 26, 2009, in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born March 31, 1932, in Canonsburg, a son of Albert and Gertrude Clark Sochor. Mr. Sochor did housekeeping for several local businesses and worked at Canonsburg Pottery for 12 years. He enjoyed fishing. Mr. Sochor was Protestant and once attended Crossroads Presbyterian Church. In 1970, he married Barbara Fusarini, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Randy Sochor of Taylorstown; a daughter, Gayla (James) Chaney of Canonsburg; two stepdaughters, Kathy (Franklin) Hanning of Claysville and Carol Jean (Lloyd) Dille of Washington; two sisters, Mary Margaret Richtor of Meadville and Shirley Markle of Canonsburg; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a stepson, Richard Mooney; a brother, Wilford Sochor; and a stepgrandchild, Frankie Lynn Hanning.
At the request of the deceased, all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, is handling arrangements.
