George Leroy Riggle

25-year W&J custodian enjoyed playing bingo, cards. George LeRoy Riggle, 77, of Washington, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, in Washington Hospital. He was born April 7, 1931, in Somerset Township, a son of Roy Ray and Margaret Annetta Devore Riggle. Mr. Riggle graduated from Bentleyville High School. He was Protestant. Mr. Riggle was a custodian at Washington & Jefferson College for 25 years. He enjoyed playing bingo and cards with his friends. Surviving are a son, Greg Alan (Vicki) Riggle of Washington; a daughter, Lynne Denise (Blair) Barney of Eighty Four; a brother, Donald K. (Edith) Riggle of Bentleyville; a sister, Doris R. (Richard) Milligan of Eighty Four; and three grandchildren, Courtney and Austin Riggle and Garrett Barney. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the hour of services, Saturday, February 14, with Pastor Lureta Logan officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray.
