Mildred A. Sanek

Member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church. Mildred A. Sanek, 87, of Washington, died Monday, November 21, 2005, in her residence following a lengthy illness. She was born February 15, 1918, in Washington, a daughter of Yacienty and Tekla Skoczylas. Mrs. Sanek attended Trinity schools and was a homemaker who once worked for Hazel-Atlas Glass for 15 years. She was a member of Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, Washington. Mrs. Sanek enjoyed gardening, dancing and her family. On April 1, 1951, she married Fred Sanek, who died May 2, 1993. Surviving are a son, Fred Sanek Jr. of Allentown; two daughters, Linda Sanek of Washington and Jeanie Sanek (Craig) Barrett of Sewickley; a brother, Julias Skoczylas of Washington; two grandchildren, Courtney and Alexandra Barrett; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are four sisters, Stephana Malinak, Viloa Dudash, Ann Mosier and Mary Doty; and a brother, Walter Skoczylas. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, in Holy Trinity National Catholic Church, with the Rev. John Mack as celebrant. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
