Harold Herbert Horn

Bull International truck driver enjoyed working on cars. Harold Herbert Horn, 84, of Washington, died Sunday, February 8, 2009, in Donnell House, Washington. He was born August 26, 1924, in Morris Township, a son of John R. and Leola Irene Grey Horn. Mr. Horn was a truck driver for Bull International for 20 years and additionally worked for Canonsburg Milling for 10 years. He was a member of Bethel Presbyterian Church. Mr. Horn enjoyed working on cars, yard work, camping and spending time with his family. He was a graduate of Trinity High School Class of 1944. On September 2, 1949, he married Oda Margaret Moninger, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Ronald D. (Bobbi) Horn of Washington; a daughter, Nadine R. Hammond of Washington; and four grandchildren, Jason M. and Brenan D. Horn and Dillon C. and McKenna R. Hammond. Deceased is a sister, Iva Jean Weaver. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, February 12, with the Rev. Susan VandeKappelle officiating. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Donnell House in care of Washington Hospital Hospice.
