Mark Eugene Gray

Mark Eugene Gray, 55, of Washington, died Monday, February 9, 2009, in Canonsburg General Hospital. He was born September 28, 1953, in Washington, a son of the late Eugene L. “Beanie” and Willa Louise Myers Gray. Mr. Gray was a member of Liberty United Methodist Church and enjoyed reading about history. He was a 1971 graduate of Trinity High School, where he participated in wrestling and soccer. He was a quadriplegic due to injuries sustained at a soccer practice in 1970. Surviving are three sisters, Luann G. Watson of Wilmington, Delaware, Kimberly Sue (Larry) Johnston of Smithfield and Beth Adrianne (David) Gordon of West Finley; a niece, Matti Renee Johnston; and a nephew, Nathan Paul Johnston. Friends will be received 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 13th, with Rev. Lois Swestyn officiating. Entombment will follow in Washington Cemetery Mausoleum.
