Joseph Walker McMillan, Jr., 65, of Washington, died Thursday, October 1, 2009, in his residence, following a two-year illness.
He was born November 26, 1943, in Washington, a son of Joseph Walker McMillan, Sr. and Margaret Pearl Fuller McMillan.
Mr. McMillan was a trackman with Montour Railroad for many years.
He was a member of A.G.A. of Canonsburg, enjoyed playing cards, hunting, fishing, singing and whistling.
Mr. McMillan was Protestant by faith.
On March 20, 1965, he married Dolores Jean Greene, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Ralph (Tracey) McMillan, of Cecil, and Jesse James McMillan, of Bridgeville; a daughter, Dolores Marchetti, of Valley Grove, West Virginia; two brothers, Norman McMillan, of Cecil, and William McMillan, of Graysville; three sisters, Helen Johnson, of Canonsburg, Marjorie Benard, of Canonsburg, and Martha Moore, of McDonald; eight grandchildren and one great grandson.
Deceased are two sons, Joseph Walker McMillan III and Herbert McMillan; his parents, and two brothers, James McMillan and Ralph McMillan.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, where services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, with Rev. Richard Myers officiating. Burial will follow in Emmanuel United Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Eighty-Four.
