Elizabeth Baker, 94, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009, in the Washington Hospital, following a brief illness.
She was born December 26, 1914, in Washington, a daughter of James “Bloyd” Hartsell and Flora Etta McCartney Hartsell.
Mrs. Baker was a 1932 graduate of Trinity High School. She had been the accountant and bookkeeper for Home Furniture Company.
Mrs. Baker was a member of Fairhill Manor Christian Church for over 90 years, which made her the longest attending member of the church.
She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, cake decorating, quilting, sewing and cross-stitching.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Ellen (Wayne) Clutter of Washington; and two sisters, Ann Grimm of Washington and Muriel Woodburn of Hummelstown.
Deceased are two sisters, Roberta and Helen Hartsell.
Friends will be received Thursday form 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3rd, with Rev. David Mansfield and Rev. John Hoffman co-officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Gardens, McMurray.
