Lena Euretta Ditzer, 87, of Washington, died Wednesday, September 30, 2009, in Donnell House, following a lengthy illness.
She was born March 28, 1922, in Claysville.
Ms. Ditzer was a selector-packer at Hazel Atlas, Brockway and Continental Can and also worekd at Thatcher Glass in New Jersey.
She was a member of Claysville United Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Sandra M. Goodenough (Harry) Thompson of Washington; two grandsons, Dennis E. Goodenough and Daniel E. (Pamela) Goodenough, both of Windy Gap; two step grandsons, Chuck Goodenough of Warminster and Timothy Goodenough of Philadelphia; two great-grandsons, Edward J. Goodenough of East Stroudsburg and Robert D. Goodenough of Windy Gap; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased is a sister, Ruth Davis Ditzer Miller.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3rd. Burial will follow in Claysville Cemetery.
