IC Church member, longtime Superior Valve assembler
Katherine L. Selvaggi, 72, of Washington, died Friday, October 2, 2009, in her home.
She was born March 14, 1937, in Chartiers Township, a daughter of John and Anna Durish Kostic.
Mrs. Selvaggi graduated from Washington High School in 1955.
She was a member of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Washington.
Mrs. Selvaggi was an assembly worker at Superior Valve for 27 years.
She enjoyed her grandchildren, going to the casino with friends and taking trips to Las Vegas.
Surviving are a son, Gregory J. Selvaggi of Washington; three daughters, Yoland “Lonnie” (Bill) Potts, Candace (Milan) Taleff and Brenda (John) Bellotti, all of Washington; two sisters, Florence DeJohn of Valparaiso, Ind., and Mary Jane Carlisle of Fayetteville, N.C.; and six grandchildren, Dominic Bellotti, Angela Bellotti, Zachary Potts, Cole Potts, Paul Czmiel and Anna Marie Taleff.
Deceased are a son, William A. Selvaggi; and two brothers, John Kostic and Frank Kostic.
Friends will be received from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, in Immaculate Conception Church, 119 West Chestnut Street, Washington. Burial will follow in Washington Cemetery.
