Doris L. Conlon

Doris L. Conlon, 87, of Washington, died Saturday, March 7, 2009, in Town View Health and Rehabilitation Center, Canonsburg. She was born March 28, 1921, in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, a daughter of Arthur David and Elsie Mae Turner Lugate. Mrs. Conlon worked as a nurses’ aid at Shelbyville Memorial Hospital for 15 years and volunteered at St. Clair Hospital and Canonsburg Hospital. She was Protestant by faith. On March 10, 1942, she married Raymond L. Conlon, who died April 14, 1989. Surviving are a son, Bruce Conlon of Delmar Delaware; two daughters, Jo Anne Caudell of Washington and Nancy Burke of Canonsburg; and five grandchildren, Toby Scott, Travis Wayne, Amy Conlon Bradley, Andrea Lee Sullivan and Deann Orbany; and six great-grandchildren. Friends will be received 4 till 5 p.m., the hour of service, Sunday, March 8th, in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 395 East Maiden Street, Washington.
