Frances Marie Sutkovich, 54, of Washington, died Friday, October 9, 2009, in Donnell House. She had been ill since January.
She was born April 5, 1955, in Pittsburgh, a daughter of the late Maria Chiostri.
Ms. Sutkovich was the owner of Fotos by Fran, worked as a service representative at FYDA Freightliner, and was a Zumba instructor at 30 and Out in Washington.
She was a member of the Pulaski Cub, where she was on the dart team, the Polish Club, Washington Camera Club, N.I.L.M.D.T.S., and PPA – Professional Photographers of America.
Ms. Sutkovich attended St. Patrick’s Church in Canonsburg and volunteered for Relay for Life and March of Dimes.
Surviving are her father, Leonard Strazza of Bethel Park; her long-time companion, Richard D. Popeck; a son, Jeffrey Hayes of Washington; two daughters, Jennifer (David) Sherman of Burgettstown and Nicole (Rodney) Hanson of Washington; two brothers, Lenny Strazza of Jefferson Hills and Frank Strazza of Bethel Park; two sisters, Maria Potemra of Williamsport and Angela Moffett of Cheyenne, Wyoming; eight grandchildren, Cassie and Hunter Hayes, Paige, Dylan, and Layla Sherman; Rodney Jr., Tatum and Tristan Hanson; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in William G. Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, where a Blessing Service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 14th, with Father Jack Batykefer officiating. Burial will follow in Queen of Heaven Cemetery, McMurray.
